NetMirror Web — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
NetMirror Web ("the extension") is a browser tool that adds, modifies or removes HTTP request headers on websites you choose. Your privacy matters — this page explains exactly what the extension does with data. In short: it collects nothing.
What the extension collects
- Nothing. No personal information, no browsing history, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies.
What stays on your device
- Header rules you create in the popup and the on/off preference are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage (
chrome.storage). They never leave your browser except for Chrome's own account sync, which is controlled by you.
Network requests the extension makes
- The extension periodically downloads a small JSON rule profile from our server so default header rules stay up to date. This request carries no personal data — no account, no identifiers, no usage information.
- Applying header rules means your browser's requests to the sites you target are modified locally, on your device. We do not see, log or proxy that traffic.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, transfer or share any user data with third parties — there is simply nothing to share.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
